Splendidly situated along a spacious beachfront property on the western shore of the Gulf of Thailand this traditionally designed resort offers 205 guestrooms and suites set within lushly landscaped gardens that surround a series of ornamental fountains and inter-connected swimming pools. From one's initial arrival at the Water Wall Court set in front of the resort's upper lobby to the overview below at check-in of the gorgeously carved stone Elephant Fountain the guest is immediately aware of the thoughtful design attention made in making this a very special destination. The property feels especially mature (even though it is less than two decades old) which is due to the fortunate situation that the site was formally a religious retreat which had been planted with a considerable amount of trees...some of which are quite rare. Almost all of these trees were retained in place and the site plan adjusted to allow for their presence. This is even reflected in the meandering nature of the various swimming pools which take their specific shape and/or location to accommodate the location of these existing trees. This has resulted in a visual landscape harmony that is pervasive throughout the entire resort landscape. In addition many playful elements are also found within the property including the 22 meter high sculptural Dragon Slide, a lazy river pool hidden amongst the foliage where one can find your own intimate waterside terrace to relax, and a dedicated Children's Pool with its own sand beach and whimsically carved stone Baby Elephants on which to climb.
